We arrived home tonight to hardest rain I can remember since 'The Great Woodland flood of '05,' the power was out in the hood and the Kentucky basketball game not being broadcast. There was, of course, only one thing to do - head for The Graveyard Tavern. Stella gave it high marks and favored it over Virginia Highlands 'Hand in Hand' (or whatever that place is called). She was a big hit and everyone smiled as she wiggled her arms and smiled to the music of Ray Charles and Etta James.
The Graveyard Tavern building has been part of East Atlanta since the Roaring Twenties, spanning nearly 80 years of Atlanta history.
Visit The Graveyeard Tavern web site at: http://www.graveyardtavern.com to learn more about its history - or, better yet, visit the bar for a pint or two yourself.
