Stella got a lil' sleep on the way ...

We walked up and down Main Street, checking out the various shops. The best stop (for me at least), was at the Wasatch Brew Pub. We had been sampling their beers since I started going with the Lindseth's to Snowbird. I felt it was time to pay a visit to the place that had brought me beers such as 'Polygamy Porter' for the last few years. One thing I've learned about beers from Utah is that they are all extremely hoppy - they take great pride in this, evidently.

Here are a few of the beers I sampled:
Evolution Amber Ale - This highly controversial beer is actually a straight forward, well balanced malty amber ale. Tettanger hops provide a subtle spicy character, which balances out this well rounded ale. 1999 Bronze Medal Winner!
Polygamy Porter - This dark, medium bodied ale offers the drink-ability of a much lighter beer. The inviting chocolate and malty flavors fade into a slightly dry, silky smooth finish. Why have just one?
Superior Ale - Fresh Cascade hops lead into a complex balance of floral hop flavor, gentle toasty and caramel flavors, and a fine malty sweetness tempered by a distinct bitterness.
Stella enjoyed the pub as much as I did ...
